Neighborhood Yard Sale

The Edgewater Yard Sale is a favorite neighborhood tradition that brings residents together—and clears out those unwanted items in the process! Held in coordination with nearby yard sales and the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce’s Sidewalk Sale, this event creates a lively atmosphere and boosts visibility, participation, and community engagement across Edgewater.

The sale typically takes place on the first Saturday in June, rain or shine. Participants may set up in their front yards or alleys (front yards tend to attract more foot traffic). To help keep things flowing smoothly, please avoid scheduling block parties on this day to allow for increased street and pedestrian traffic.

Registration Details

  • All participants must register and pay in advance

  • $10 per dwelling unit (for condos/apartments, this means $10 per participating household)

  • All registration fees are donated to Care for Real

  • The event is fully volunteer-run and operates at a loss to support the community
