Celebrating Community, Heritage & the Start of Summer

The Edgewater Glen Summer Social is our annual neighborhood-wide celebration marking the beginning of summer and honoring our historic district status. Launched in 2024 to commemorate Edgewater Glen’s placement on the National Register of Historic Places, the Summer Social has quickly become the signature event of the season.

Held on the 1400 block of Glenlake Avenue—at the very heart of the neighborhood and the intersection that gave Edgewater Glen its name (Glenwood & Glenlake)—this lively gathering brings together neighbors, friends, and families for an afternoon of connection and celebration.

 

Enjoy live entertainment, delicious food, family-friendly activities, and plenty of classic neighborhood fanfare. Whether you’ve called Edgewater Glen home for decades or just arrived, the Summer Social is your invitation to connect, celebrate, and kick off the season—together.
